Literacy & Dyslexia Support

education, childhood, people, homework and school concept - smiling student boy with book

As a specialist dyslexia teacher, qualified through Dyslexia Action in 2025 (Level 5 Diploma), I provide structured, evidence-based literacy support tailored to each child’s individual needs. My sessions focus on developing essential skills for reading, spelling, and writing, including phonological awareness, decoding, spelling patterns, reading fluency, and comprehension. I use a playful, multi-sensory approach, incorporating games, hands-on activities, and interactive tasks to make learning engaging and memorable.

While I can identify signs that may indicate dyslexia or specific literacy difficulties, I am not able to formally assess or diagnose. However, I can provide observations and guidance to share with parents and schools, helping families understand the support a child may benefit from.

For children with dyslexia, difficulties with literacy are lifelong, and tuition cannot remove them, but it can build essential skills, strategies, and self-belief, helping children thrive in school and beyond.

Each session is carefully paced and tailored to the child’s individual needs, ensuring progress is achievable and rewarding. My aim is to empower children, nurture their confidence, and create a positive, enjoyable learning experience, helping them flourish both in school and in life.
